Tryfan-Snowdonia

Home to Adam & Eve

We will make memories

Stand aloft the summit of one of the most Iconic mountains in the UK

Welcome to the home of Tryfan

With a range of quality scrambles, thrilling rock climbs and a more straightforward but inspiring route via the South Ridge this mountain has plenty to offer all types of walkers, climbers and those that scramble.

It is one of the most recognisable peaks in the British Isles and is renown for its North Ridge, an iconic scramble leading from the road and finishing on the mountains summit next to Adam and Eve.

However, it has a high rate of mountain rescue call outs, as people underestimate the route finding and how to manage the terrain both in ascent and descent. Poor visibility makes for a very challenging and potentially dangerous outing if you do not know the mountain well.

Remove all that stress and worry and hire one of our expert and qualified guides to lead you to the famous summit. Our experienced qualified guides and coaches will skilfully tailor your adventure to your requirements and ability.

We look forward to exploring this fansinating mountain with you

Memories

A day on Tryfan whatever route is taken will be a day to remember.  Have your photo taken next to Adam and Eve and take time on the summit to soak in the experience and wonderful views that stretch in front of you, Views to Snowdon, Anglesey, Carneddau and Mid Wales.

Tryfan requires less walking day such as Snowdon and is much more enjoyable and rewarding. There is no cafe, no train  no queuing for the summit and the ascent is much more enjoyable.

The home to Adam and Eve - Sion a Sian

No where else in the UK will you find such a summit feature. Two pillars of rock standing side by side marking the highest point of Tryfan.

For those brave and able it is possible to stand on either one for that summit photo and ever lasting memory. Many are tempted to jump from one to the other and all our guides have done this at some time. However, the consequences of a fall are high and so are the risks so it is not something we offer all our customers.

Fully qualified mountain instructors

As a fully qualified Technical Expert and Safety advisor for mountain activities, I only use local mountain guides and  coaches, that not only have a passion for Tryfan and the surrounding mountains  but that are trained to high standards  and fully qualified.  All our guides and coaches are full of enthusiasm for this Iconic mountain. Many including Mark,  hold the highest award for walking and climbing  within the UK - Winter Mountaineering and Climbing Instructor and are a member of Association of Mountaineering Instructors  and/or The MIC.org

Mountain and customer safety

Our number one priority is to ensure our customers are looked after appropriately and this is one reason our group ratios are set lower than other providers. Maximum of 6 customers to 1 guide.

Bristly Ridge

A superb Grade 1-2  ridge scramble which can be used to link up Glyder Fach and Glyder Fawr after an ascent of Tryfan.

Combined this way, it could be one of the finest days scrambling to be undertaken in the UK.

This is only suitable  for small ratios of  1 or 2 customers and you will need to have climbed either the North Ridge or East Face prior to going onto Bristly Ridge.

If this is something you wish to attempt please get in touch.

 Scrambling coaching

Do you currently mountain walk and long to move onto the classic ridge scrambles that the UK offers. Scrambling allows you to access wonderful and fulfilling opportunities to gain UK summits by interesting and at times challenging terrain.

I can equip you with  the skills you require to explore and summit UK peaks via scrambles up to grade one and two.

One key aspect which you will get coached on is judgment and your ability to decide what is a safe passage and one which is too risky.
