Safety

Our professional approach to your wellbeing

We take the welfare of out customers as our number one priority.

We achieve this in a variety of ways ;

1 - our group ratios allow us to offer a far more personal and  safe event. Max 6 customers per 1 guide. This may be lower than other providers, but Tryfan is not just a normal walk.

2- discussions with our customers prior to the event day which includes a equipment safety check and advice.

3- planning routes and events in due regard to weather conditions and adapting these on the event day.

4 - ensuring our guides have in depth knowledge of Tryfan, its routes and they have a wealth of mountaineering experience.

5 - our guides carry all the required group safety equipment on each event day to ensure emergencies can be dealt with if required.

6 - we have a call out procedure in place for all out events and someone back at base has all the details required.

7 - our guides hold the applicable UK qualifications for guiding in the UK mountains.

8- all our guides hold an up to date first aid qualification.

9- should very poor weather conditions on the event day mean dangers and hazards above what is acceptable we will discuss this with the group and offer an alernative option.

10 - we follow all current Covid safe guidance for the relevant event.

11 - guides are very experienced with working with a wide range of customers with wide ranging experience and ability. We are focused on you the customer.

12 - We never use trainee guides to lead or to assist to make ratios higher, like some other providers you may find. We take this to be poor practice and not in the best interest of our customers.
